About MAW Skills Academy:

MAW Skills Academy (MSA), a subsidiary of MAW Group of Companies, is an industry-led initiative to deliver market-aligned vocational training to address Nepal’s workforce needs. MAW Skills Academy is affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), and focuses on the automobile, mechanical, construction, and electrical sectors. MSA also offers career counselling, job placement, and on-the-job training within MAW Group of Companies and its affiliated brands such as JCB, Yamaha, Jeep and KONE.

Currently operating training centres in Janakpur, Bhaktapur, Nepalgunj and Butwal, MAW Skills Academy plans to expand via mobile-based training nationwide. With a strong commitment to quality, sustainability, and stakeholder collaboration, MSA is shaping a skilled workforce and contributing to Nepal’s economic development through skills, research, and employment integration.

UKaid-Funded Skills for Employment Program (SEEP)

MAW Skills Academy, in partnership with UKaid’s SEEP, is training 2,900 unemployed youth in high-demand trades such as construction, automobile mechanics, plumbing, electrical work, and AC/refrigeration. Focused on international employment readiness, the program delivers hands-on training with industry exposure, helping young Nepalis access quality jobs at home and abroad.

Empowering Women through MAW Foundation

Working with the MAW Foundation, MAW Skills Academy is committed to advancing gender equality by offering scholarships to women, dismantling gender barriers in sectors such as construction, mechanical trades, and automotive engineering. This partnership aims to break systemic barriers, encouraging and facilitating high-quality vocational training and technical skills.

MAW Skills Academy Achievements:

  • 2,572 + Youths Trained
  • 1,834 placed in domestic and international jobs
  • 20+ job placement MoUs signed with companies
  • 70% trainees from disadvantaged groups
  • Over 100 women trained with MAW Foundation scholarships
  • NPR 10.36 million in local government and NGO collaboration revenue.

MAW Skills Academy Affiliations & Certifications

  • Affiliated with CTEVT, Nepal’s national autonomous apex body responsible for formulating and coordinating Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) policies and programs in the country.
  • MAW Skills Academy provides JCB India Certification for Heavy Equipment Operators.
