I am overwhelmed, that the participation is still strong as we have received noteworthy entries for this quarter as well. The ideas, contents, and achievements that you all have shared is very much appreciated.

  • The past year has been great. Few of our last year’s major achievements were:

  • Highest Sales of Yamaha ll date – 38,266 units.
  • Kone Li in its inial phase already has 12 bookings and 1 delivery.
  • 110% growth in Yamaha Music.

Furthermore, to make all our divisions’ self reliant, we have made some major organizational transformation.

  • Partnership with Mr. Raunak Agarwal for Skoda Car.
  • Appointed Mr. Chiranjibi Shah as Business Head for Motorcycle Division.
  • Appointed Mr. Suneil Thapa as Business Head for MAW Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd

I am confident that their expertise in respective fields will take MAW to further heights. I wish them all the best!

I believe that together, our team have achieved much more, and will continue achieving great things. We have recently started a “Training and Development
Department” in Corporate Division which is being led by Mr. Vineet Pandya. This department is solely
focused on individual training and development of staff for all divisions.

We have already begun in-house training at JCB. This month, we are also giving XLRI Training from India to all Branch Managers and Area Managers of Earthmovers Division.

I always believe in new initiatives and this year we have commenced our Annual Planning a bit differently. As a part of Annual Planning, we conducted a survey to analyze how we should be going forward in the coming years. This survey was done throughout MAW wherein, we received a good response. The suggestions we received were very constructive and resourceful. We look forward to incorporate it in our planning and strategic development.

I hope you will enjoy this issue and keep supporting this initiative!

MORAL LESSON

One day a rich dad took his son on a trip to village.

He wanted to show him how poor someone can be. They spent time on the farm of a poor family.

Dad asked, “Did you see how poor they are? What did you learn?”

Son said, “We have one dog, they have four, we have pool, they have rivers, we have lanterns at night, they have stars, we buy foods, they grow theirs, we have walls to protect us, they have friends, we have encyclopedias, they have Bible”

Then they headed, “Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are.”

Moral Lesson

Its not about money that make us rich, It’s about simplicity of having God in our lives.

For A Mother

Almost three years now. They say you’re gone, “Dead”.

I clearly remember that day. It had rained all night and in the morning, there were people crying, screaming, mourning but I was still sitting there beside you. I was watching you; your beautiful face. Then they took you away, they said, “Stay home! You won’t be able to see”. They said, “Have a one last look!” But I couldn’t get that one last look.

For days I waited for you to come back home then the months passed by and years. Still, I was there waiting for you. Not that I was so naive to not know what death meant but that stupid heart said you will come back one day. And one day, you did come but only in my dreams. You were not the same to that day when you left. You looked beautiful as always! Your hair looked perfect but the last time I saw you, you were sad that the disease and medicines were taking your hair away, your charm, your beauty, your hope, your love and your family. In that dream, you asked me to come with you but, grandma didn’t let me come with you. You returned sadly.

Next morning when I woke up, I was happy to see you even if it was just in my dreams. That day I felt as if you were watching me from far away and you too were longing for a meet like I was. But it’s been a while now, you no more come to my dreams. I regret of not letting you know how much I loved you, of what you meant to me, of not having a picture with you. Your picture is still clear in my memories.

But I do miss you more than I did yesterday.

To believe is to know that

Every day is a new beginning.

Is to trust that miracles happen,

And dreams really do come true.

To believe is to see angels

Dancing among the clouds,

To know the wonder of a stardust sky

And the wisdom of the man on the moon.

To believe is to know the value of a

nurturing heart,

The innocence of a child’s eyes

And the beauty of an aging hand,

For it is through their teachings we learn to

love.

To believe is to find the strength

And courage that lies within us

When it’s time to pick up

The pieces and begin again.

To believe is to know

We are not alone,

JOB APPRAISAL

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the carton so that he could reach
the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in seven digits (Phone Number). The store – owner observed and listened to the conversation.
“Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?”

(At the other end of the phone line), “I already have someone to cut my lawn.”

“Lady I will your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now,”

“I am very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.”

(With more perseverance), “Lady, I’ll even sweep your curb and your sidewalk, so on Saturday you will have the prettiest lawn in all Palm Beach.”

“No Thank you.”

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver. The store – owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.
Store Owner, “Son ….I like your attitude, I like that positive sprit and would like to offer you a job.”

Boy, “No Thanks.”

Store owner, “But you were really pleading for one. “

Boy, “No sir, I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady I was talking to!”

This is what we call ‘Self-Appraisal ‘.
Every time if we don’t get ahead of others, we blame others for it. We should look to our self and compare, fine own weaknesses and work hard to throw away weaknesses.

Always Work Hard, Honest and with full Dedication. It will always pay up

DAY TRIP TO PEAR GARDEN

Tallest Buddhist prayer flags I have ever seen, stitched on the bamboo stick, fluttering along with the wind towards east.

Spectacular view!!! Really fortunate enough to encounter such a heavenly place on earth. After continuous slippery climb, feeling sweaty and out of breath, reaching to this place was liberating and a bliss.

Most of the colleagues in MAW Enterprises were invited in the wedding reception party of Ganesh Gautam (Colleague from Accounts department in MAW Enterprises). The reception party was held at the beautiful outskirt of Kathmandu, Chhaimale. The entire S&C department were invited. Upon unanimous decision, everybody decided to attend the reception party. Just a day before the reception day, team outing was fixed. Everybody confirmed
their arrival at Ratnapark by 8 AM. The KIA Pregio arrived on time and with all the excitement and joy the journey started off.

Our first stop point at Dakshinkali temple. Thousands of prayers queuing to the temple, most of them dressed red, carrying stitched leaf bowl with flowers, incense stick, sweets, vermilion powder to worship since it was Saturday. On the way, we saw the hoarding which says, ‘Way to Cave’. This really interested all of us so we decided to hike till the cave. To our greatest surprise, the way to cave was very steep and slippery due to leaves.

The climb was long and tiring but after what we saw made that climb worthwhile. The green land with monasteries, tallest prayer flag hanging on the bamboo sticks, beautiful flower plantation. We asked the local, for the way to cave but they seemed unsure. There was no cave there but they directed us to the way to temple. We travelled through the village, trees with various fruits, flowers, hens running around, water falling from the hills. After the long walk, we reached the temple. The cool breeze releasing from all around the surrounding felt like being in heaven.
