Morang Auto Works(MAW) was founded in 1964-65 by its present day chairman by setting up an Engineering Workshop in the main Industrial town of Biratnagar , Nepal.

MAW then entered into agencies of automobile ancillary products and took distributorship of like various companies like Goodyear Tyres, Mico Bosch, Mahale, Goetze, Talbros Gaskets etc.

Took over the dealership of ford tractors in 1973 and sold 164 tractors in the very first year Operation.

A major shift to two wheelers happened in the year 1976 by launching Escorts Rajdoot two wheelers in Nepal.

Lunched the Yamaha RX 100 Bike in 1987 which became the largest selling bike in Nepal in a short period of time.

Promoted United Finance Limited in Nepal in the year 1996 which has become one of the highest financier of consumer products today in Nepal.

Started an "Engineering Division" in 1999 representing major companies like Ingersoll Rand, mettler Toledo, Greaves Limited, Godrej, Cromton, Premium Tramsmission, Escorts, Jcb india.

Set-up separate "Construction Division" from 2003 represention major companies like Jcb and Ecel to boost up sales of construction equipments.

 

Hiring business of heavy equipments was also started to promote Jcb.

 

Took the distributorship of Skoda cars for Nepal in 2007.
